Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, an American professional in basketball for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in her college days before being drafted in the fifth round by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her twin brothers. Her parents were spoiling her the best because she was their youngest. Gregory's father was in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale is a highly active family. Her mother Yolanda played softball at DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare is a football player. Her aunt used to play volleyball at UAPB and her cousin Endia Oliver plays volleyball with Tennessee State. Ogunbowale's name was placed on the honor roll for her high school for 3 consecutive years. Her high school experience has brought her recognition as well as fame. Arike completed her high school instruction at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her home town. She played three varsity season as she enrolled in school. Ogunbowale led her school to stunning victories with her exceptional skills multiple times. The high school season she played in was comprised of 73 starts, 1,477 career points and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale competed in her first 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. In July of 2014 Ogunbowale was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first ever collegiate experience. She was even congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit numerous big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Though she's still only a freshman she has established herself as an exceptional basketball pro and is likely to keep her track. Arike Ogunbowale's worth amounts to about $5 million, as per one report. Ogunbowale's not just a great basketball player. She also excels in many other sports as well. She plays soccer as well and has even been a winner of State Cups for the Lake County United Soccer Club. She performed on the piano throughout her seven-year playing career.
