Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, an American professional in basketball for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in her college days before being drafted in the fifth round by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her twin brothers. Her parents were spoiling her the best because she was their youngest. The high school season she played in was comprised of 73 starts, 1,477 career points and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale competed in her first 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. In July of 2014 Ogunbowale was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first ever collegiate experience. She was even congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit numerous big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Though she's still only a freshman she has established herself as an exceptional basketball pro and is likely to keep her track.
